Personally, I believe long-term investing only is suitable for retail clients. Financial markets are informationally efficient enough, it makes almost impossible for retail clients to make money consistently from trading.
The aim of any trading is making extra return, in excess of average. If you are making more than the market in average, somebody is making less. Who is going to make less?
My point is: avoid any trading. Only brokers and infrastructure providers make money from trading consistently (fee and commissions). Even glamorous words as "algorithmic", "python", "high frequency" can't provide excess return.
